Shane Edward Callahan, Esq.
Shane is a dedicated criminal defense attorney committed to advocating for his clients with compassion, skill, and determination. He graduated cum laude from Rutgers University in 2019 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science, where he was honored with the prestigious Albert Roberts Scholar Award. Shane earned his Juris Doctor from UMass Law in 2023 and opened his own practice immediately after passing the bar exam.
He was trained by the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) to handle criminal cases in the Massachusetts District Courts and currently serves as a Bristol Bar Advocate in New Bedford District Court.
Shane focuses on criminal defense — including bail hearings, clerk magistrate hearings, trials, and probation violations. He also represents clients in civil restraining order proceedings, including both 209A abuse prevention and 258E harassment prevention orders. He has earned a reputation for meticulous preparation, clear communication, and securing strong results for his clients, whether through trial victories or favorable plea negotiations.
